Khalifa Jemila Majid Rose serves as a Cheraga (Minister), Healing Conductor, and Semazen in The Mevlevi Order under the guidance of Postneshin Jelalhuddin Loras of the Mevlevi Order. She is initiated as a representative of the three Inayati orders - Sufi Ruhaniat International, Sufi Order and Sufi Movement.

I have been blessed through my Teachers, Pir Vilyat Khan, Murshida Vera Corda and Murshida Rabia Ana Perez. My first exposure to the Sufi path was through the Dances of Universal Peace offered in Palo Alto by Jeffar and Armaiti. This was closely followed by meeting with Murshida Vera Corda at a Sufi camp in Mendocino. What a life enhancing inspiration, as my spiritual path was clearly laid out before me that summer in 1983.

My various careers have included many years as a psychotherapist in the inner cities, glorious years as a modern dancer in New York city and 30+ years as an Executive Recruiter for corporations in Silicon Valley.

I have enjoyed the role of minister for weddings. I also do memorials, house blessings and clearings. I am available for counseling and individual retreats and am happy to share the Sufi teachings through the Healing Service and Gatha classes.

Russ Rahmat Ericson - Being exposed to Sufism has infected me with the notion that all the names and forms of God/Goddess are one. I find that reading various religious texts, meditation, and practices to be helpful. However, my favorite form is moving in a circle with my friends saying/singing the names and aspects of the ONE. Among my achievements are serving HSSC, SIRS, and DUP in various capacities, creating the only Darwinist dance We All Swung From The Same Tree, and being a cherag. I am devoted to my wife and children. I spend the rest of my time writing, directing, and producing the play, My Life Is Constant Creation, authored by me, as a musical comedy.

Quadira Caitlin McCleod

I first began learning to lead the Dances under Susan Arzani Burman in Arizona in the early 90s; now I am studying under the apprenticeship of Nancy Norris in Santa Cruz, CA, an honor I'm truly grateful for. I have recently taken the Sufi name of Quadira, which means "holding the center," and am working to embody that quality in both my leadership and in my personal and professional life. I also have fun drumming for the dances!

My Sufi Master on the Spirit Plane is Hazrat Inyat Khan, for whom I am a channel to bring new dances to the world. Recently I have received instruction to be a conduit for 55 original dances and songs of peace! This is part of my service, along with using my voice for healing.
