Deepening in Presence and Love - Esoteric Study group with Jilani
Originally offered in response to the desire of several mureeds (initiates) to feel more grounded in basic Sufi practice, this gathering of beloveds meets monthly, using the guidelines of the Esoteric Studies materials created by Murshid Wali Ali Meyer. This includes reading assignments and the repetition of devotional practices meant to be integrated into daily life. At Wali Ali's request, the class is open to mureeds from all lineages of Inayat Khan, with the blessing of your personal guide. Class practices may include breath, wazifa, sohbet (spiritual conversation), walking practices, singing, Dances of Universal Peace, zikr, meditation, and prayer. The focus is on the spoken and written transmissions of Pir O Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan (gatha) and of Murshid Samuel Lewis (tasawwuf), with an emphasis on embodied spirituality and a strong reliance on the Spirit of Guidance to lovingly lead the way.

The Esoteric Study Group for mureeds meets at Jilani's house (in the Santa Cruz mountains near Happy Valley) on a monthly basis. Contact Jilani Julie Esterly at (831)476-8620 or jilani@esterly.com for more information.
